Got my lantra ita for 360 degree excavator under 10 tonne next week. Any one done this and what was it like. Im mildly worried because the digger is 7 tonne and normally use a 1.5 or 3 tonne!!! Cheers Nick

its easy, make sure you look around you for people or hazards before tracking around the site and slewing round etc. the examiner will want to see plenty of observation on your part and make sure you re fit the safety pin on the quick hitch when changing buckets. 7 tonner isnt that big and easier to drive than the smaller machines.

ive got mine with lantra as already said the 7 ton is easier to use than the 1 1/2 ton digger, my assessor was more interested in me putting the turf back on correct than the safety!! you will be fine mate.

the bigger they are the easier they are to drive because they have wider and longer feet remember you dont have to work it flat out 3/4 revs is fine and keep the 2 speed travel in the slowest speed:thumbup:
