Nice Big job Brendan, Fine rigging. :icon14:

Out of genuine Interest, with regards to the tears on the stubs in pictures 2,3 & 4,

Are you guys on the other side of the pond taught that way, or is that personal preference to not use under cuts on branch removals?

Most of the tears are from removing 3foot stubs after I had cut off the main branch. Just a waste of time for me to make an under cut on such a small log. Plus the juices are flowing in the tree so the bark tears off very easily.

Reduced a Yew last week and burnt my shoulders in the blazing heat

And this beech had to be cut back off the street light so the council could paint it

Crown lifting along a busy road, it was good fun swinging from tree to tree.

 

We hired traffic lights from A plant, no problems there.

and heres a small beech hedge I've planted for my Mother!
