last tree i did in west london before moving up to essex

 

bear in mind i think i had only passed my climbing course approx 2/3 months previous

Nice work Tim - especially for having only recently passed your NPTC...

I wont slag you off for posting pics of one handed cutting with no secondary anchor ;)

dont post them at proclimber though :D

heres a method i use for tying a rope off when setting a pull line. its sometimes hard to isolate one limb to send up a running bowline, specially on pines for example. what i do is send up the throwline into the crown and out the other end....then i send my pull line up and tie the end off at the base of the tree aboved the felling cut
