just a small point. if you advertise on google where you are isnt that just a nice big signpost for the nasty gits who will pay you a visit late at night and nick all your gear. then you moan on arbtalk when its happened.

food for thought then!

fair point, although you could argue that displaying your address in company listings makes you look less like the type of nasty git who goes round pinching things! if you know what i mean:001_smile:

I can understand the point here, but you can't live in fear of these thieves.

As Jake says, Google Places is very popular. I don't get visits at home anyway. If you are that bothered, just move the pin to the centre of the local sewage works.

Well yes! but only as much as a yellow pages advert or any other advert that containes your address!

My yard gets broken into probably twice a year and its adress is not listed any where on anything, only the office (my house) is

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
