LittleandLarge,,,

Where abouts in cambs are you?

Hi Jay

The secret to making money out of this is keep the transport costs down. If you can hire a machine locally without dragging form the other side of the country you will be in with a chance.

Yeah right :001_rolleyes:

Maybe the first 2 inch from the cut ends :sneaky2:

The readings were actually taken from the middle of a number of lengths which had been sawn in half, they were taken like that because they are looking to sell it for energy and it needs to be dry enough and the potential buyers are now saying that its where it needs to be. Why don't you go and check it yourself. You obviously have a lot of knowledge of the timber and the situation it is in:bootyshake:

Hi everyone, i am just starting a felling job for 27no 3 - 4' dbh @ approx 75 - 80' high all Poplar - originally planted by Bryant & May for match sticks, but they have now realised it is cheaper to import!! Seams a shame to just cut it all up as it is all pretty straight must be of some use.

Is anyone interested or know of anone that could be?

Can get the timber to roadside and load if required.

cheers Andy.
