How many 1m cubed full sacks can I fit on a load ? Maybe two sacks high if the truck isn't too high for the lift. Needs to be a six or eight wheeler as access is prohibitive to anything bigger ?

How much can I expect pay for a 400 mile transit ? Any ideas or known haulage firms appreciated.

Picked up from the grim north and dropped off in sunny Cornwall .

i would pass the job on to some one in Cornwall, pm Tommer0 or AD15 or CTS ot Timber cutter Dartmoor. I am sure they would send you a little sweetner for the contact, no point giving all the profit to the fuel and haulage companies

I can get 12 IBC containers (cubic mtr) on my 7.5 tonne curtainsider but not being over a weighbridge I think it would be over the limit for the truck if filled with timber. I normally stick to 6 at a time so that I can unload with a hand dolly and tail lift.

if the csacks are ina small yard can;t they just be moved to a larger truck outside with a 360 or forklift or whatever you have, should all go on one artic then, depending how much you need to shift.
