200t's looking for a bargain

howdy folks,

sooo as is the way, I am looking to buy me first 200t and am too tight to pay full price, does anyone know where to go for good deals or have any nice second handers they might be looking to sell?? also i have read on and on about alternatives, does this new hussy really meet the bench mark of a 200t, the rest look pants and really chintsy, but haven't tried any of them so not really fair to comment on it just yet. gonna need some selling though cos 200t's are the daddy really.

I have been climbing/working these things hard for yonks just have never been given anything other than a stihl. comments welcome and thanks in advance

Try contacting any of the dealers/shops on the right. Lots of great people to do business with.

aye ta, have called most of them, and have fund a fair price i think. 460£ has been the best quote, still a lot but then its a lot of saw i guess. will have to bite the bullet and get one brought, thanks for the reply

try ebay, i got mine of there and is sweet, 250 pounds for a 05 model and runs like a gem

ouch..... ebay for a buyer to me at the minute looks a no go...... good for a seller but not for the buyer, saws are making ridiculous prices at the moment

 

for 250 quid i would look for a 2007-2008 saw and hold out for a 2008 on ideally...

 

 

recently sold a couple of older 020t saws, got 160 for one, and 225 for a 1999 model with no bar, unbelievable prices!!! just might stick on my spare at the prices they're going for

buy new mate - you'll get warranty, after sales support etc.

i went to my local dealer last year to get a 200t, they said the best they could do was £480, then i showed them the price fr jones were selling them at and he got within a tenner of it! i think it was £426 at fr jones and i got one for £435.

you won't be able to buy a new saw without being there to collect it, as per stihl's postage policy.
