Chipper repair in London?

Dear Chipper lovers,

 

Can anyone reccomend a preferably entec/timberwolf chipper repair business in and around north london. I need the feed roller blades changing and i understand you have to weld a nut on the bolts to remove the threads.

No need to weld a nut on the ends of the bolts,just buy a decent allen key on a 1/2 inch drive socket, with a decent length extension that should do the job.

I am in Waltham Abbey if you need a hand.

back in the days when I started out in 3 rivers district council in Rickmansworth we used a co called Plantec & there was a guy called Andy. Top bloke.

Not always that straight forward, the allen heads have a tendancy to round off. The bolts are glued in. So be prepared to get the welder out for one or two.

A bit of heat might help and maybe an impact driver to get them moving.

 

If your not into that try Roger at Hempstead Plant in Kings Langley, although no longer a Timberwolf dealer he was for many years and his lads are very experienced with all things Timberwolf.

Thank you for all your replys, i will give both infeed rollers to Green Plant for dismantling and rebuild with new parts.
