Use own kit for CS30/CS31?

Hi All

Am planning to book myself onto CS30/31 course during November down at kingswood. I see from their website that your can hire all the kit needed for £10 a day but would it be better to use your own chainsaw?

I saw in another post that the Husky 346XP would be a very good 1st chainsaw (having checked it out I'm thinking of buying one) and wondered whether it would be better to be taught using my own saw than learn maintenance etc on what will probably be a different make/model.

Apologies if this is a stupid question :blushing:
