It all depends on what species it is. Are you taking just to timber hight or cording up the whole thing?

 

Either way i have a set of tables in the truck. I'll go and get them in a bit if you post up some hight girth measurements of the tree and species too.

i use forestry commision volumetables get the length and the mid diameter then refer to the tables then get the volume,1 m2= on average 1 tone green

 

Yea thats what i've got. Larch i think is slightly over 1 tonne a meter about 1.2 or something close.

I use my trusty Guess Ometer:thumbup:, i rub my chin, take off my flat cap, breath in through my teeth and go MMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and say About at least i reckon, but don't hold me too it, gota be no more than a fair bit and i wouldn't fancy it falling on my foot love:biggrin:
