Found this little beast today in an ash and oak woodland.:thumbup:

 

darren, Did your green fungi have gills? did it have a ring? around the stem/stipe?

 

I can see it has a bulbous base, a good key feature, but i am very keen to suss this one out as at this moment I havent a clue, it is VERY unusual.

 

if you can get one dry it out and send to kews herbarium dept, If you do and you get some posative ident this would be well in the running!

nice one david:001_cool: i must admit ive ignored the little ones till this year, i reckon thats a top find darren, this is getting very interesting, and already a tough call. youve stuck some damn fine fungi in here:thumbup1:

cant really remember, went a bit light headed then passed out.:lol:

My face went numb a few weeks ago after tasting my fingers covered in goo fro paxilus involutus (the poions pax!) apparently the toxins are thermolible meaning only when well cooked are the sort of edible, long term consumption still however leads to anemia in the bllod cells!:001_huh:
