9pm and just finished back at our yard, all 60 tonne bought back and in lovely log and 20 tonne of chip tipped safely back - well done fuelwood for a great stand and thanks to my lads for all hardwork - brill show and were all knackered now, but back to work tomorrow and hope everyone had a great show, didnt see much, only had chance to walk around for half an hour on saturday afternoon and only got to see the static area- great to see fellow arbtalkers and thanks for introducing yourselves to me, andy, steve, firewoodman and everyone else

 

i saw your valmet on your stand at the show, was very impressed with what i saw . didnt know which one you were though so didnt introduce myself :blushing:

 

Wish my yard looked like your does with logs haha.

Chap on the mic said the poles were 85 yrs old, pole 1 was 4.5t and pole 2 was 5.5t and that they were 99feet tall in total!

 

Cheers, I would like to see them on the lorry being delivered. Wonder if they use the same ones each time.

 

Make a good demo seeing them go through one of those big chippers:biggrin:

Gutted i missed you will, what day did you go on? Your right the poles were from longleat didn't realise how many big trees the estate have.

 

On a different note why did they have a massive jenz biomass chipper next to the horse loggers, although i was quite surprised how the horses are just not bothered by the noises of the saws.

I went up on the Friday. Would have been great to say hi.
