As has been said heat and/or impact driver combo and throw some lube into the mix, reckon that should shift it.

 

Add to that abit of persistance and not too much brutality:sneaky2:

If the spikes have ally shanks DO NOT use heat.

 

Is the slot chewed up? If it is you should be able to use a centre punch to get the screw started.

 

If the gaffs are done in and you can’t get the screw out you can get the gaff off by grinding the gaff away where the tapped hole for the screw is. It will destroy the gaff but if it’s junk any how it won’t matter.
