Hey guys, went to price up 2 small private jobs today. one cedar that needs deadwooding and a few snapped out branches tidying up, and another leylandii topping out. so we talked money settled it, then he asked if i was intrested in a chainsaw, thinking he was gonna wip out some haggard old electrical halfords saw he showed me a almost brand new MS180 backhanded, once used in nice condition. i took it home and said i would think about taking the saw from him and reducing the money on the 2 jobs. just wondered if any one knew much about this saw, im finishing colleage and doing a few small private jobs here and their so no need for a massive saw, it sounds like its got quite a bit of grunt in it for its small size. any advice or input would be very helpfull.

of course :D. cheers for the input, one last question how much would you pay for a 12month old one that has only done around 3hours work? no damage starts fine no problems.

make sure it oils ok, i have the farms 170 and 180 in bits so often as the oiler stops working (although that could be due to crud getting in the oil tank, farmers what can you do!),

they seem like pretty robust little saws otherwise. Recon Steves price is spot on on if its as good as you say.

yeah seems to oil fine. only problem is that the controll switch is a bit iffy. dosent click into the 0 position propperly and the only way to get it off is by going full choke. opened it up and had a look around and i cant seem to find how to fix this. any ideas?
