Went to Oulton Park last weekend to watch my little bro in his first race. They’ve got some great trees, particularly liked this row of Sweet Chestnuts and regenerating Lime stump.

Two random motorsport pics

Also some of my little bro finished 11th out of 16 and second in his class so really good for a first race :thumbup1:

Interesting post...I did a track day at Cadwell Park last week, the first time Ive visited Cadwell. They have some good trees there also.

I spent the night in my tent amongst a group of beech...some which were significantly decayed and hollowed out! (This I noticed the next morning) Sodding windy too as it happened....!

Nice to see them retained amongst human designs-

whats the carving? looks like a couple of race cars on a truck/trailer out of fallen log? or are my eyes going funny?:laugh1:

well spotted it is two race cars carved into the felled trunk to created a bench, think its a Tim Burgess carving.

i know this is a tree forum, but, have you got any more pics of that gorgeous golf???!!

Ok one more then, and one to redeem the balance :001_smile:
