Best of luck to you mate,

I had to go self employed(3 years now) after being made redundant twice in a year and with a big mortgage and a family to feed i had no other choice.

still find it hard but its what i always wanted to do and my wife says i`m a far happier person than i was when i was employed (slave driven) doing a job i never enjoyed.

It was the kick i certainly needed and without it i reckon i would still be there.

After being made redundant last year following 23 years with the same employer, and deciding to do what I wanted to do for a change I can honestly say you will never look back. I found just saying yes to things led to new opportunities - I went from sitting at a desk all day to dry stone walling, driving dump trucks, gardening, and now setting up a firewood business. I really do not think I could do the same job five days in a row now.

Good luck, keep smiling and start enjoying life!:thumbup1:
