Our book was out in September, a lot more compact and better IMO. got a 500 quid job almost straight away.

 

 

Advertising is one hell of a mine field, they spout soooo much bull and it must one of the only industrys that you pay good money and there is NO comebacks if it doesnt workbe.

Been advertising since I started about 8 years ago but made my mind up to give it a miss this year and concentrate on previous customers and recommendations, as I can get home to messages on the answer phone and ring them back that evening to find that they have excepted a price all ready or even in some cases that the job has already been done.

Thompson rang and I said I didnt want to renew they told me I would lose my discount if I decided next year to start advertising again, I stuck to my guns and said no. I kept getting phone calls from them and in the end one from one of their staff asking if I would like them to re quote I said why and she replyed that she could give me a further 50% discount.

Thompson came to us they sent out two good looking lasses with tight shirts on think that's one of the tactics haha they were trying to sell us a package that cost more the more hits you get on it, so I asked how she got my number she had got it from our yell ad, so I said basically we will pay more for people like you looking on our site to try and sell us stuff no thanks! I've had people ring us to see if we wanted buy bin bags does my head in some days.

Ive had more sales calls then jobs calls in the last week Touch local,Thompson,yell,yellow pages and about 12 news papers. As soon as they say where from such a such I say bye as im waiting for work so you can then rob my money...
