HI ALL whats the best 7.50/ 16 land rover tyres i run michelins xzl they are good but where out quick i need tyres to take a lot of weight its for a 110 tipper all the best jon somerset

search forum for 'muddy fail...' the vid is of 7.50/16avon rangemasters. do not get them, they last for years and hold the weight but are, well.. just watch it..

If you are finding michelin wear out fast you are going to be disappointed with any other make. They are about the hardest compound tyres out there.

HI TOM yes mate i do 50% road work and the tipper takes a lot of weight the michelins are 10/12 ply tyres but wear out fast is the bfg good for wear all the best jon

I was about to say that if you want really hard wearers get siome disco steel rims (i only say that as they are really easy to find them second hand for about a tenner a wheel) and move to something like a 235, or 265 by 16 BFG. They dont do one to fit your rims, but the likes of a 265/75/16 will do you.

you need XZL's in 235/85R16, but they are harder to find

 

BFG MT's last well, Hancock tyres make a 235/85R16 with a MT type tread and they are 10 Ply and can take 80 psig so are good with loads

This is true, and other than the xzl, they are the 'off road' part of michelin.

 

Which probably explains their longevity.
