Hi all, just wondering if it is worthwhile doing the nptc course in tractor driving, with a few to employment, or is it best to take the rather expensive cpcs route. Just thinking of another string to bow as an alternative to hgv's.

it depends on where you are hoping to work as to the relevance of the certificates , ie within our trade or in the building trade, also be careful there is a difference between forestry tractor and the others you can not build forestry machinery tickets on to an ag spec initial tractor, silly but the only difference we could find was something to do with the battery!!

 

 

apply for and get funding before you register for the course , you cant get help retrospectively ,

ive done the nptc one. never realy needed it and the only time i did was for a building site, who couldnt decide if my nptc along with cscs card was ok. never got ythe job so never found out for sure
