Vermeer Yellow teeth

I have a vermeer 252, and need new teeth, so am thinkign about going along and getting the yellow teeth set up.

What is the advantage of these teeth? Are they the same as green teeth and can any tooth of this type be used once you have the new pockets fitted?

I get the idea that they are reversable, but vermeer told my they are the same price per tooth as the conventional superteeth, i.e. about £6 each. So I don't really see what the advanteges are.

Can anyone help me out with soem advice, or a link if its already been discussed before.

Yes, they take a while to change and yo end up battling on with blunt ones rather than changing them. I like the idea of the yellow ones so you can flip them round or change them, but I was under the impression that you couldn't sharpen them as easily, so they are almost disposable. Use twice and replace, but at £6.00 each thats not going to happen!!

Does anyone know if I cna fit any green teeth style cutters in to the pockets that vermeer would supply for the yellow jackets??

I think that is what I'm trying to ascertain.

Having a look at pics of the yellow teeth I dont see why they cant be sharpened without any hassle.

Got quoted around £240 from Vermeer UK to change over to yellow jacket teeth, but since I think the wheel looks a bit worn I reckon I would go for the multitip option first.
