processor life span?

Hello, been thinking of buying a processor, how long do they last before they need renewing, how much trouble are they during their life, if one costs 8K and lasts 16years and then is worth 2K to sell on i,d be happy to buy one.

Bought mine for around 5 grand nearly 10 years ago , will be worth around 3-3500 against a new machine

bought mine with a tractor for five grand, its a 1997 jappa 700 and works fine and is in good nick. Its like anything, if you look after it it will go forever.

I lifted an old jappa 700 out of brambles last year that had been sat there for a couple of years got it back the yard greased it up put it on the tractor and off it went,had to replace the pump drive belts but they were cheap enough, very basic machine like Hodge said look after it and should go on and on
