LOLER Question?

Not your spikes they are a climbing aid. Tool strops yes as they carry a load.

 

Spikes are now lolerable

I have been a loler inspector since 98 and did not used to do them.

I did an update last year and they are now included although obviously just making sure all straps ect are in good working condition.

OK people I've just been and dropped off my gear and the loler guy doesn't know anything about spikes having to be checked.

Do the standards for loler checks differ from Scotland to the rest of the UK?

And I have no worries about the capability of the guy as he's well respected in his field and has been doing loler checks for a long time now.

 

So bit of a mystery then.
