sycamore

I have found sycamore takes a good while to season. It will burn green but picks up moisture very easilly. In my opinion, best stacked well under cover and off the ground.

Nice firewood though when dry although it goes quickly.

Not been my experience, I find Sycamore dries quickly and stays dry once dried.

Its very good fire wood, IME.

Sycamore-

Stacked in our yard in the round (2mtr lengths), after 12 months its perfect, suggesting cut and split with decent air flow would give good results much quicker. Great firewood, and a joy to run through the processor - is "pops" wide open as soon as it hits the knife.
