Have you not got a mill to break it down with?

Sounds like a lovely bit of wood!

I have a chainsaw mill, but i wuld rather it went through a band saw to reduce the wastage. But if i can not find one then i will mill it.

I'd mill it with your chainsaw mill as thick as possible then take it to a bandsaw.

You'll lose a bit in kerf but would save getting a mill in.

Post some pics up when it is milled!

Sorry, not been paying attention and completely missed your posts. Would be interested to see some photos. I'll PM my email address to you. How come nobody wants to mill it? Too big for there mills or does it have a metal post in the middle of it? If you could send some dimensions that would be great too. I've probably got someone to mill it so could sell as is if you wanted.

Still looking for anything unusual. In desperately need of something pippy/burr at least 2.5m long and not too fussy about the width in kiln dried at the moment enough to go 1.2m wide total, so if anyone has anything then get in touch.

Would be interested in any other big burrs if anyone has one/some.

Also longer term would like to buy a crotch, ideally walnut, 2ft before the crotch 6ft after on one of the forks and 4ft on the other, minimum 20" wide. It has to be just right but if anyone is going to take one down this year let me know, perhaps send me some pics.

Didn't get round to unpacking kiln Friday but when I do I'll send pics.

This is a walnut I milled last week.... not amazing colour but no shake at all in it.

48" alaskan with 50" bar.
