Best chainsaw for approx £250

Hi all just registered want your advice on stihl husqavana dolmar chainsaw new for cutting firewood & general trimming around the garden.

 

I have seen stihl MS181 cbe for not bad money, if you haven't looked on seddondirect there equipment prices are pretty good.

 

I am a builder with several stihl cut off saws so know most of the time u gets what u pay for, looking to spend approx £250 inc vat as also need to purchase petrol hedge trimmer to stihl HS45 looking on that score:elefant::elefant:

fr jones and son are much cheaper than seddon. look there or any other of the advertised retailers on here...

im sure the 181 and 45 will do your job fine it you look after them. i have had both for several years now

another option is to look for a good secondhand saw, I brought my Husqvarna 365 off ebay in January for £225 and it's been a brilliant saw so far.

 

There's another one on there now, or just type in "insert brand name here" chainsaw and see what comes up!

we have a stihl ms211, great for snedding a felling small trees, i think on Justin's page it is about 260 pounds

cheers only problem don't get to london very often as in s.wales but quite often in Birmingham area as mcollection only, unless they have a satellite office up our way
