evening arbtalkers! Have a query about an oak tree that is dying from the top. Just after a bit of information really, causes etc.

 

Any help will be much appreciated.

No unfortunately no pics yet. It was just a brief description that i got " tree is dying from the top" and thats it.

 

Theres a good chance i can piece it together once i go and see the tree but just wonderd if there was anything disease related that i didant no about.

 

What is water table issue?

Seriously though I always look for and ask if there could be any root damage ie utility cable, pipe work,footpaths,driveways etc even if it was 5+years ago when there is die back.

At first i thought u was insulting my ERUDITE complex well written diagnosis of a poor oak tree not having a blooming summer.

 

But found your attachment very helpfull.

Glad you found it informative. Have you an update on the tree in question? I relish the opportunity to feel important and knowledgeable ...it doesnt happen very often eh!:001_tongue:
