I know someone:sneaky2: obviously not me who has been known to take them down and put them back up afterwards, it only a couple of wires.....

 

Also the metal coils that are used by buildings to secure the wires are good for joining broken cables - again apparently:blushing:

I had fell a dead Elm which had a BT line running right in front of it. The client contacted BT and was told it would take a couple of weeks for someone to come out and lower the line. We started to dismantle the Elm and work around the line, but that was getting a bit dodgy as it was badly rotten.

So we managed to lower the line and felled the tree on top of the line.

 

Not sure if you can make out the line in the first picture.

 

Last pic, the tree was the perfect size to fit through the gap in the hedge.
