hi guys - my dad wants to get public liability insurance - specific to small woodland owners - does anybody have any contacts please

i have tried the links in the trade directory - but none of them can help

he doesn't really want a bolt on policy (and his current ins co doesn't do PLI anyway)

all suggestions / links would be much appreciated

cheers

there is a few threads on this site RE woodland insurance (SWOG Forum) , may take a bit of searching though, not sure if RAP is best way forward, my woodland cover is through NFU as is my business cover.

PL as a landowner isn't a legal requirement, weigh up the odds to see if its worth having.

Anyone putting in a claim against you has to prove negligence any way

well i thought RAP would have been ok - but after a short phone call it appears that we can't get any insurance from them as there is a tiny pond on site (it is actually just a big hole where we have dug out gravel - but it fills with water during autumn/winter - so they class it as a pond

so it's back to doing more internet searches
