The thin metal strip needs to go back into place so i can turn the saw on to choke and warm start The magneto seems to be catching on the fins i have moved it back as much as i can but the pull cord it making it catch any idea

The wire strip earths the mag out to stop the saw follow the green wire to it’s end. One end fits there and you ought to be able to figure out where the rest goes.

 

If the mag is catching it might be as simple as a deformed casing. If not check the AV mounts.

where abouts are you? in in the notts, leic, lincs borders area and have a few old small saws i use for spares if i can be of any help.

Jump-it kindly looked at my saw and its still a non runner the piston rings and piston are gone on it so im going to get a new saw :) Thanks for the help
