i dont like it but at the same time understand the reasoning behind it and am sticking with it. i do like the way i can run it behind me and use it on the left side aswell without running out of lanyard, but dislike the factt hat i need a longer lanyard in the first place to use it.

i have found little problem adapting to it. I have always used long lanyards so I can pass the saw to either side of me. The flexibility gained is worth the inconveniance

I always go to teh rear, my saw strops are long enough to reach above my head one handed (....damn i said that out loud) and to each side.

 

Running a big saw is more comfortable and better balanced as well
