nice job today removing ivy from a line of sycamores/horsechestnuts. found a nest complete with 3 baby blackbirds hidden in the ivy, roped ivy above/below nest so it wouldn't fall out (had already removed ivy at bottom/top of stem), will leave in place till they have flown the nest..

ha ha!, thought this thread was going to be about a group of unemployed arborists who form a 'full monty' male stripper group!.

I hate ivy with a passion, crown cleaning a lot of ivy out of a tree and seeing the end result can be a very rewarding job.

was nice to be climbing in my jeans (john wore shorts and got grazed) no chainsaws and noisy chippers, just the ropes and silkys, really enjoyed it, same again tomorrow. might strip off haha
