Oregon are bringing out some very lightweight type Cs soon... they look and feel lighter than anything else that's out there. I'll try and get Les to stick some pics up.

I find the Stihl chaps very effective for venting they have nothing over the bum but are type C so all round protection but then you have zips up the legs so you then can slip out of them easy when I am doing jobs that dont chainsaw protection and back on quick when you need them they are the coolist trousers I have warn so far.
