The best thing to clean them in is petrol, but I never told you that, a second close is paraffin/kerosene.

 

Why in that what dose that do?

 

Gave it a good clean today tryed everything spent 1hr on it Locks now but dont think ill be using DMM anymore from the reviews only like them as they look cool

Could be wrong but was told on a slinger/signaller course that oil and petrol products can react with nylon which will weaken it. This could be a good reason not to use it to clean anything that will be in contact with your rope.

The petrol dissolves any bits of resin/sap/tar etc that the water doesnt get.

 

But yeah it could damage any plastic nylon buts, ive not noticed that it does tbh so best not to use it.:sneaky2:

ive always found petzl krabs to be the worst! allways jamming open/not closing their chineese tolerances are rubbish & they've had to recall sticking gates before. ISC does seem to be the most reliable & hard wearing IMO
