8kw log burner advice please

Going on that 0.5m3 per week our 15m3 would last 30 weeks. As the burning season is not quite 30 weeks (more like 26 weeks) we on average burn slightly more at 0.58m3 per week in a 5kW stove thats the only heat source is a 35 x 12, 3 bed static (IE it leaks heat like a sieve). It would be very hard to burn more than that as we run it 24/7.

 

can I ask what make of stove that is since I have a mobile home that is looking for a woodburner:thumbup:

i have a morso squirrel if you are interested, it hasnt been used for 6 years, the removed all the old bricks and i have all the new parts for it sitting in a box, but then my wife decided she wanted an open fire instead lol, i bought it new 7 years ago for £550 plus vat and the spares cost me over £200, it is in excellent condition, just needs cleaned up and put together.

Its an Arg Little Wenlock.

 

Not the cheapest but solidly made, built to last, will stay in over night if you want it to, glass stays clean, you can boil a kettle on it if you use the rear flue connection (but would be better with a smooth top closing plate, its on the list of things to make).

 

We have done two winters with it, both of which were quite bad.
