Wow!!

 

My mate showed me an example of a coin he found on his first trip out !!

 

I have got permission to use it on a very big private estate Geoff, but I'm just waiting for work to quieten down to go out with it.

 

I have also found another geek to go out with and show me how to go on to earn my geek badge :laugh1:

 

I found it quite relaxing the bit i have done so far

i wonder how much it was worth in its day compairing it to todays standard?, i can imagine someone losing it and hunting for hours as it was worth a small fortune then it lying undisturbed untill you find it 2000 years late quite incredible

I use a minelab etrac,an expensive machine,but the one Dean has is very good too.It feels realy strange holding something as personal as that coin knowing how long ago some hairy celt lost it!They were more of a prestige thing than a coin of currency,favours bestowed by powerfull people.:001_smile:
