I've had the very generous offer of a Tirfor winch from a guy in Ireland on an owners' club website I use and all I have to do is organise the shipping from him to me. Anybody got any recommendations for reliable and hopefully reasonably affordable courier companies? Best quote so far was just shy of £90. Cheers! :001_smile:

You need to find a transport company with a 2' x 1' space on a truck; they'd do it for almost beer money. Come to that any friends or friends of friends doing the holiday trip perhaps. Ask around. That's how I found such a company belonging to the ex brother-in-law of a colleague of my wife!
