Thanks for all the comments guys. It is a cracking idea, even if I do say so myself:blushing:

Anyone else who's read the thread got any thoughts on it? Good, bad or indifferent, all opinions very much appreciated.:thumbup1:

i think the idea itself is excellent, as far as i know a gap in the market, and is something that big companies will jump on. in the wake of this BP disaster, big companies will be trying their hardest to promote a "green" company image, and using recycled bog roll in their offices just doesn't cut it anymore.

its a pioneering idea, so what better time than now?

Hi buddy awesome idea and a yes from me also with a slight 'but', and it's just a concern I have about big business paying lip service to all things green/ecological whilst it's in their(and their shareholders) interest but will they maintain their green credentials if/when times change.

Just my thoughts and you know far more about the business world, I'm just a cynical old barsteward and like I say an awesome idea:thumbup1:

I see what you're saying Ian, but I was watching the Chelsea Show last night and the emphasis even there is well and truly on the environment, ie 95% recycling of all waste from show week. This Show is visited by the Big People, the movers and shakers in business, as well as the general public, and the message gets through to them. What they then need are the people to make it happen for them. Enter Hama stage left. This green, environmental issue is not going to be a flash in the pan, its here to stay IMO, even I have changed my way of thinking radically in the last few days on this issue, the penny dropped. Thinking "green" is no longer the domain of the hippy, but is becoming the way of life for all, and I think there will be big money for the few who get in there and advise on it.

I totally agree with you Andy, I'm just being cynical/playing devils advocate if you like, it is and should be centre stage, been a long time coming and good luck to those who drive it on, it is a fantastic oppurtunity and someone like Hama is the perfect person for the role, he gets my vote:thumbup:

:blushing:Shucks you guys!

In answer to your fears ian h, before any company gets my service they must agree to commit to it in the long haul, or i walk.

if there is one thing that bugs the proverbial out of me, it is hollow gestures/lip service, and if they want the best in the business, they is going to have to play by my rules. period!:thumbup1:

Ian, many thanks for giving the time to read through the thread and contemplate an opinion. All opinions are very welcome. I completely agree with what you are saying but think any problems we will encounter as you suggest will be easily sorted. Businesses are really into this kind of stuff for the long term. I did quite extensive research at university as I did a paper on Toyota's CSR techniques. They are cutting edge as far as this goes and are already just starting to implement ideas very similar to the ones Tony was expressing yesterday. There seems to be a trend towards this kind of CSR development and as every company is looking to differentiate their offering, selling them the knowledge of the Hama might just be a pretty good business:thumbup1:
