my mates got and i would still rather spend a bit of time doing it myself i didnt see that it made it cutt any better if anything id say it was cutting worse

it is a good idea for homeowners like you say but i think if you was to turn up at some of the places ive been working you would get some funny looks pulling that out of your kit bag

Interesting to see if it cuts as well. Remember my granddad say when he worked in the woods people gave the first chainsaw users funny looks and said it wouldn't catch on. Everything progresses.

that amount of metal surely has to effect chain drag substantially. im sure it cuts sharp but would still feel sluggish compared to a proper chain

 

valid point, and you cant file the depth gauges off for soft wood:lol:

 

but repeatadly cutting soiled wood, stumps, contaminated wood, stems grown through wire fences (Nifty Steve will remember:biggrin:) it could be a time saving godsend

I think they want to try it out on a big chain on a big saw.

 

Unless they did and blah sayed past it :blushing:

 

I mean in a professional market its probably not worth it on a small saw/chain but could be on the 066/088 it could be.
