The reason i would be buying the ladders is primarily to do the tops otherwise I'd buy a 3ft Hopup could you show me a picture of the triple ladder you mention Rupe, even though there £100 more than i can afford on ladders

Have a look at 'midland ladders' website, they are very good.

I have the 3m titan splayed based combi ladder. so it does 3 sections to 9 metres or a step ladder A frame with extension to about 5 meters.

May be a bit OTT for you at the moment at £249 inc VAT and delivery but I've been meaning to post it on here as the splayed base makes it a good all round treework ladder.

I have the six rung version of these which are the most awesomist but heaviest ladders available, some many combinations and will setup on a slope and or flat against the hedge

You can even stand up straight on the very top rung with confidence they are that sturdy, the sturdiest ladders known to man

If the work started flooding in Paul maybe I'd invest in a pair, Cheers

I've got hedge trimmers that will do 4.75m ! the the ladder is used for bigger stuff.

All you need is a triple ladder that wil go into an A frame with an extension. probably more like £169.99 but will do everything.

i have a set of those rupe, they are great.
