It'll be fine. I've been hammering mine for nearly 3 years and its still going.

There are good arguments for spending thousands on kit, but it is not necessary.

If you want to cut hedges, it will cut a lot of hedges.

In my opinion, if you are after a trimmer, there are much better machines out there than Stihl.

If you want to make a nice tidy job on privet, tight trimmed conifer etc, i would steer well clear.

If you are not bothered about finish, get a stihl cutter, it will savage a thorn hedge but thats about it.

It will require spending more money though if you get a REAL hedge trimmer.

Whats a real hedge cutter out of interest?

No, no, no! You miss quote me!

A real hedge cutter is a stihl HS81r

A real hedge trimmer is a robin(no longer available unfortunately) or Echo HC331

Arbclimber, seriously is the hs45 a bag of sh**e????

No mate, its not a pile of rubbish. If you are on a budget it will do few jobs for you and probably be fine. It is a domestic tool though, vibes are high and tooth gap is quite small so you wont be cutting anything big with it.

18" is very very small for a hedgecutter. I try to be packing at least 30" at all times:biggrin: Being so short, it will be very limited.

Anyway, its cheap as chips so why not give it a go.:thumbup1:

As far as business card are concerned, go see your local printer.
