What damage will a railway sleeper pin through a chipper cause?

The anvil or anvils (as some chipper have more than one) are the replaceable parts of the in feed housing of the chipper, which the blades cut against (with out actually touching them)

 

How else are they perceived??

I think some people call the steel part bolted on to fly wheel that blades attach to the anvil. Or have I made this up and no chipper in the world has steel bolted on to fly wheel :001_rolleyes:

i always thought the anvil was the part the blades were on, dunno why....

Yes if some metal had been removed from any thing on the fly wheel, it would become unbalanced and that would be very bad!!:001_huh:
