hi, has any of you worked in the U.S under a h-2b visa? i have a job offer but the visa process looks very hard.

any help please, thanks matt

Yes I have.

It can be a long process for your prospective employer to get you a Visa.

Each state has a quota of H2B Visa's they can give out.The States with the highest need for "unskilled temporary labour" get the most.

My employer had to advertise the position longer, then increase the offered wage, then finally sent each application from American people applying for my position to the authorities. Then finally they granted me a Visa.

Its not that there are few opportunities for climbers in the States, its just that few employers are willing to jump all the hoops

I worked in the states as a full time/full pay climber for 18 months on a J1 visa, its the best option for tree climbers if you find the right company, pm me for more details.
