Updating chainsaw/climbing tickets

Hi guys can anyone give me a definitive answer to a question about updating tickets.

 

I've got the old AA9,10,11 etc tickets and would like to upgrade to the newer CS38/39 etc, ideally without having to resit them all if possible.

 

I've searched training/education threads, spoken to NPTC who weren't sure(!!?), even spoke to arbinsure who referred me back to NPTC, so can anyone help:thumbup1:.

I recon you are in line for about 16 "definitive" answers, not to mention a load of "here we go again" and "search for previous threads".

 

For my two peneth, if you want a "cs38" ticket, you will have to take the assessment.

 

If you want a cs39, take that assessment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

You could contact Alan Howell at Lynher training, and ask him for his take on the situation as I know for a fact he loves to tussle with NPTC policy.

Were 9,10,11 not just ground work tickets???

 

I have 20,21 and 22, which covered some ground work and all the climbing.

Wasn't aa9 reductions or dismantling or somthing?
