I'm sure if you speak to the assessors they could put together a refresher course to cover the areas you feel updating.

cool cheers Boss , i have found that through my own interest in keeping up to date in the industry and with the help from you guys on arb talk i have learnt about an entire new world of tree climbing , but i do think that some of the new methods should now be being tought on climbing courses , for instance i have just had a goy come back from doing his cs38/39 and to be honest im amazed at how little he has been tought and was even more supprised that alot of the skills i learnt at merrist wood back in 2003 were still not being tought like Branch role's , Re directs , and some of the modern knotts . it may just be me expecting too much !!

I dont thing the instrucotrs have the time within the course to teach anything more than the basics ready for assessment. If the climbers are a little more experienced the instructors may have a little more time to teach some more advanced methods.
