footlocking

hi folks

I have been looking at some footlocking vids on u tube and was wondering when peeps footlock up the doubled rope do they use a normal prusik wrapped around the double rope or is there anything else going on?

Use a three wrap prussik or klemheist.

3 wraps with a loop, so technically 6 wraps. Not trying to be pedantic, just dont want anyone to come screaming down a footlock line on too few wraps......

idealy a 11mm rope, the prussik loop needs to be about 6ft ish (i said ish rupe!) long, and itl be a good idea if your just playin about to have a second line installed next to the fl line, or some other means of fool-proof getting down method!

I heard that bob keeps a M.E.W.P along side as a fool proof means of getting down .
