I looking for a fungi ID book (and it would help if it tells you how to bloody pronounce them!)

 

Diag of Ill Health is good but i could do with a more specific book.

 

I have some ideas but any recomendations would be appreciated :icon14:

Its hard to find one book suited to Arb fungal ident. I have about 3 or 4. They have a variety of pics and diagrams so variation in the forms are covered. My fave basic book is a plain old DK fungi spotters book. If only I knew where I put it.

Have you read this? It has a section on the most important fungi we see on trees.

Its one that was on my list. The trouble is at the moment my list = app £200 :scared:

 

Cutting it down to size by recomendations seemed the best way to go!

yes. it gives the usual habitat and edibility too, simple and a good start for less than a tenner. It misses some of the very obscure stuff that we rarely see.
