nice pics david is that a owl box you got on that pollard we had the conservation group put some up here once the rooks loved ours,do youknow when the oak pollard was last done

you mush have some interesting ship building history with your oaks:001_smile:

Yes a barn owl box Ben but i might move this one as it has been there two years with no visitors. Last pollarded a long time ago:lol: There are a lot of these and i want to re-pollard some but the boss says no leave them alone

No Sean it was completly over grown with trees and scrub and i cleared around it and the silt has been dug out. A footpath goes past it and people said they did not even know there was a pond there. Give it a year or two and it will be full of frogs and newts with dragonflys over:biggrin:

Nice Oaks David, the pond looks like it was fun :001_cool:

We put up two Barn owl box's about four years ago, one has been very sucsesful, the other usually has tree rats in it:thumbdown:

I had a barn owl nesting last year in one of my boxes sitting on eggs. When i went to count the chicks the eggs where there with one hole in them sucked dry any ideas anyone?
