It strikes me that life is both sweet and sour "inclusional" you mention the overbearing predation stress, something we all take way too much for granted in our arrogant and superior attitudes.

 

man often recieves enlightenment and education when faced by this dilema, often sadly its too late to learn the lesson and appreciate the struggle all life has even without our greed and influence upon the earth

More chicks this week. Monday, blackbirds with chicks in a bay that was down to be removed.

Today a cherry that also had the black spot with blue tits in a box feeding chicks. Removed the top ot the cherry from another tree without bothering the nest. Black spot next month!!

Blue tits with chicks? In March? :001_huh:That seems extraordinarily early, they're only just gathering nest material down here! :confused1:

I thought so to hence the post as I know next to nothing about times ect of hatch ect.

 

They were in a box & after watching them for a while they were defo bringing food back to the box not nest material.

 

Where is down hear for you? I have been working on the outer reaches of london for the past few weeks.

 

I gather from a previous post that the mistle thrush are early layers ect.

 

I will have a fair amount to go back to in 6 wks or so.
