Just wondered if there is anyone in my position. I would classy myself as a general gardener, carrying out general garden and grounds maintenance along with fencing. On my PL insurance it saw i am not covered for tree felling, lopping and crop spraying. I am looking for insurance to cover me for small tree work such as pruning small trees with expendable pruners, felling small trees no bigger than 5m, removing and topping conifer hedges. I have my CS30, and CS31. I have also done my PA1 and PA6 and would like to get into weed control. What I want is a company where I can speak to someone explain exactly what I do and get the right cover.

Cheers

Steve

Your best bet is to ring a few different insurance companies and explain exactly what you do. Well worth giving NFU a ring though, they're the cheapest for me

If that's all you need then NFU but beware as the policy smallprint states you are not covered for any damage within the a certain distance from the tree,

They were great for me but I needed higher insurance cover and went to Bartletts
