My original plan for my truck was to make my own sides using sheets of ally riveted on to old ladders as a frame.

 

I think the way I did it in the end looked a lot better, but if you have any old broken ladders around (or know of any) they can be used to make the up rights, then all you need is a sheet on the inside, simples!!

does any one know where i would be able to buy aluminium sides for a tipper ,looking for a large size 10x5 ,in veiw of cutting and fitting my self ? any help would be great .

 

 

 

 

A lad I know has 10 brand new ali sides off one of his brick wagons which are £60 each, I'm not sure how long they are, but they are 900mm tall, which is spot on for my landy, but he wont split the new set. He also has 6 old ones off another trailer and they are 800 mm tall by 2.6 m long £25 each. I only need 3, he's getting back to me tomorrow on the length of the new ones.

I might be interested in the new ones if you can find out the length and thickness etc
